Left New Bern, NC on 8 Feb 63. After he returned home, he enlisted again, serving in the QM department of General Aiken's cavalry. When President Lincoln was assassinated, he was one of the guards posted at the end of the "Long Bridge" to prevent the assassin's escape. In 1875 he established a drug store in West Elizabeth, PA.
